‘’POLISH LITERATURE”.
This series of events is to popularize Polish literature in the Netherlands. First event : “A Writer or a Poet? Encounter with Literature”. Unfortunately, at the moment Polish writers are not well know here. Even those awarded with Nobel’s prize do not find their way to top reading list although their names are well recognized elsewhere in the world. We would like to change that. In cooperation with our partner Central Library of Amsterdam (OBA) we would like to provide access to best examples of Polish literature both in Polish and in Dutch translations by creating a book collection available to the general public at OBA. It will include books for children and for grown up readers.
As part of the same project we plan to invite acclaimed authors from Poland to come and talk about their work with their audience in the Netherlands.
