Another fantastic news for Polish film industry – ‘’Corpus Cristi” directed by Jan Komasa has been nominated for an Oscar this year!!! It has also received four nominations for European Film Awards, for: best film, best director, best leading actor (Bartosz Bieleni) and best script (Mateusz Piesiewicz). It tells a story about religious dilemmas and spiritual leadership in modern world.

‘’Charlatan” is a Czech entry but the director is Polish film maker Agnieszka Holland. Her film was nominated and will be fighting for The Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards. It tells a real life story of Jan Mikolasek, a healer who in 1950-ties diagnosed and cured people with no formal medical education, just his intuition and knowledge of plants.
